Winnipeg Jets Claim Forward Off Waivers

The Winnipeg Jets have claimed Axel Jonsson Fjallby off waivers from the Washington Capitals.

Jonsson Fjallby was claimed off waivers by the Buffalo Sabres last season as well, but the Capitals immediately brought him back just a week later through the same process. Yet, now they have lost him again to the waiver wire, but this time to the Jets.

It makes sense for the Jets to add a player like Jonsson Fjallby, as they certainly are in need of some forward depth. With that, he is only 24 years old, so he could be a player who has not reached his full potential yet. Overall, there's no risk in the Jets taking a shot on him, and let's see how he does with the change of scenery from here.
