Winnipeg Jets Goalie to Play 2022-23 Season in KHL
The Winnipeg Jets will be down a goalie for the 2022-23 season, as Mikhail Berdin will spend this campaign back in the KHL.
The NHL/NHLPA Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health Program recommended that Berdin do this to be closer to his family as he continues his leave of absence.
Berdin was viewed as Winnipeg's third-string netminder this campaign, but things have changed on that front given this situation. Given the current circumstances, it does make sense for him to return closer to home.
In 32 games last season with the Manitoba Moose, the 24-year-old had a 19-10-2 record, 2.40 GAA, and .902 SV%.
