Winnipeg Jets Place 4 Players on Waivers
The Winnipeg Jets have placed Michael Eyssimont, Jeff Malott, Ashton Sautner, and Leon Gawanke on waivers.
Eyssimont and Malott each played their first NHL games with the Jets last season, with neither of them getting on the scoresheet. Sautner has 23 games of NHL experience but has not played in the sport's most competitive league since the 2019-20 season with the Vancouver Canucks. As for Gawanke, he is still looking to get his first call-up to the NHL and could be on his way to. He did just have a 36-point campaign in 65 games with the Manitoba Moose, after all.
With the regular season getting closer, teams are making cuts to their roster. Naturally, this leads to some players going on waivers, and when it comes to these four, it isn't too surprising to see. Let's see if another team ends up taking a chance on any of them from here.
