Arizona Coyotes Make Roster Moves

The Arizona Coyotes have placed Nick Schmaltz on IR and have used his roster spot to call up Laurent Dauphin.

Schmaltz being placed on IR is not surprising at all. The 26-year-old has played in just one game due to an upper-body injury and is expected to be out for the next three to five weeks. The Coyotes definitely miss the Madison native in their lineup. In 63 games last season, he had 23 goals to go along with 59 points. 

Dauphin, on the other hand, is coming off of a season that saw him score four goals and record 12 points in 38 games for the Montreal Canadiens. These were all career highs for the 27-year-old forward, and now he will be aiming to build off of his strong year with the Coyotes from here.
