Arizona Coyotes & Toronto Maple Leafs Complete Trade
The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired Conor Timmins from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for Curtis Douglas.
As we previously reported, Timmins was linked to the Maple Leafs, so it is not too surprising to see it now come to fruition. The 24-year-old defenseman is now set to give Toronto some much-needed defensive depth. It also is important to note that the former top prospect played on a pairing with Rasmus Sandin in junior, so perhaps we will see those reunited on a line together. In two games this season, he has zero points.
Douglas, on the other hand, is a 6-foot-9 center who will give the Coyotes another prospect. In 13 AHL games this season, he has one assist and 30 penalty minutes.
