Boston Bruins Goalie Leaves Game Injured
During Friday's win against the Carolina Hurricanes, Boston Bruins goalie Linus Ullmark left early due to an upper-body injury.
This is certainly bad news for both Ullmark and the team, as the 29-year-old netminder has been among the early Vezina Trophy favorites so far in 2022-23. In 15 appearances on the year, he sports a 13-1-0 record, 1.96 GAA, and .935 SV%. He has nearly perfect, so it will be very challenging for the Bruins to replace him if he has to miss a notable amount of time.
Alas, we will have to keep our eyes open for an update on Ullmark from here. If he does indeed have to sit out games, Jeremy Swayman will take over the starting role, while Keith Kinkaid will be called up. Alas, we will have to wait and see what happens.
