Buffalo Sabres Call Up 2 Players
With Jack Quinn and Kyle Okposo currently injured, the Buffalo Sabres have called up Riley Sheahan and Anders Bjork to their NHL roster.
Sheahan has not appeared in a game yet for the Sabres this season, so this is big news for the 30-year-old forward. In 69 games last season with the Seattle Kraken, he had four goals to go along with 17 points. If he impresses during this call-up, perhaps it could open the door for him to stick around on their NHL roster - whether that is as a fourth-line or 13th forward.
Bjork was waived earlier this season by the Sabres. The 26-year-old winger is coming off of a rough season that him record just eight points in 58 games. It will be interesting to see how he performs for Buffalo this time around. Like Sheahan, he could be another bottom-six option if he bounces back.
