Carolina Hurricanes Call Up Defenseman

The Carolina Hurricanes have called up Maxime Lajoie to their NHL roster. 

Lajoie appeared in five games for the Hurricanes last season, where he had zero points and a plus-2 rating. The 25-year-old has been off to a decent start with the Chicago Wolves this campaign, as he has four assists in 10 games. Now, he will be aiming to translate that offense to the NHL level during this call-up with Carolina.

Lajoie has had past success at the NHL level, as he put together a 15-point campaign in 56 games with the Ottawa Senators in 2018-19. Since then, he has been a depth defenseman bouncing between the NHL and AHL, but let's see if he can cement himself a role with the Hurricanes from here.
