Carolina Hurricanes Forward Placed on IR

The Carolina Hurricanes have placed Teuvo Teravainen on injured reserve. It is retroactive to Nov. 10. 

Teravainen left Thursday's contest against the Edmonton Oilers early due to an upper-body injury. As a result, this IR placement isn't the most surprising of developments. However, even with this being so, we now have confirmation that he will be out for the next week at least.

Teravainen has appeared in 14 games for Carolina this season, where he has seven assists and a plus-3 rating. For his standards, his production is a bit lower than normal, but it's apparent that we will still be missed while out for the Hurricanes.
