Colorado Avalanche Send Top Prospect Down to AHL
After making his NHL debut for the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday (Nov. 23), Oskar Olausson has been immediately sent back down to the Colorado Eagles.
Olausson's demotion is not necessarily surprising, as he is waiver-exempt. As a result, the 20-year-old is heading right back to the AHL after a decent debut.
Olausson has been off to a solid start with the Eagles this season, too, as he has four goals and eight points in 16 games. Overall, that is not too bad production from the 20-year-old winger, but it will be intriguing to see if his production increases as he gets used to the AHL level. If so, expect to seethe 2021 first-round pick land another call-up to the Avalanche before the season is over.
