Columbus Blue Jackets Make Roster Moves
The Columbus Blue Jackets are switching up their roster. Emil Bemstrom has been sent back down to the AHL, while Carson Meyer has earned himself a call-up to the NHL roster.
Although Bemstrom has done well with the Blue Jackets this season when called upon, it was not enough to save him from being demoted. In seven games on the year thus far, he has two goals to go along with four points. Yet, now the 23-year-old forward will be aiming to impress with the Cleveland Monsters in hopes of landing another call-up.
Meyer, on the other hand, appeared in his first 13 NHL games this past season, scoring a goal and recording three points. Now the 25-year-old is getting the chance to play with Columbus again, and he will be hoping that it leads to a full-time role from here. In 15 games this season with the Monsters, he has six goals and 18 points.
