Dallas Stars Make Roster Moves
The Dallas Stars have called up Matt Murray to their NHL roster in response to Scott Wedgewood's injury. Matej Blumel has also been sent back down to the Texas Stars.
Murray recently signed an NHL contract with Dallas and now will be getting his first chance to play in the sport's most competitive league. In six games this season with their AHL affiliate, he sports a .912 SV%. Now, the NHL will officially have its second goaltender named Matt Murray in it.
Blumel, on the other hand, played in his first four NHL games for Dallas during his call-up, where he scored his first NHL goal. Yet, due to the Stars' injury trouble in goal, the 22-year-old winger is heading back to the AHL. In nine AHL games this season, he has five goals and 11 points.
