Detroit Red Wings Forward Expected to Miss Months
While speaking with reporters, Detroit Red Wings head coach Derek Lalonde noted that Filip Zadina has something broken and will be out for months instead of weeks.
This is such rough news for Zadina. The 22-year-old was heading into the year with the hope of it being a breakout one, but now everything has to be put on pause for a long time. In nine games so far this season, he has zero points to go along with a minus-3 rating. It's been a slow start to the year, so getting this long-term injury along with it is truly a kick in the teeth.
At the time of this writing, a specific estimated recovery time nor injury has been announced, but it's clear that Zadina is dealing with something very serious. Here's to hoping that all goes smoothly with his recovery.
