New Jersey Devils Provide Update on Mackenzie Blackwood

New Jersey Devils goalie Mackenzie Blackwood has suffered a sprained MCL.

Blackwood has dealt with injury trouble over the last few seasons, and this sprained MCL is the latest. It is rough to hear that he will now have to miss multiple weeks because of it. The Devils definitely will miss him as they aim to keep their top spot in the Metropolitan Division. However, Vitek Vanecek will now have to man the crease from here.

Blackwood currently has a 4-2-0 record, 2.79 GAA, and .880 SV% in seven games this campaign. Although his save percentage is low, he has managed to steal the Devils some games. Here's to hoping that he can return soon and find his old form once healthy.
