New Jersey Devils Make Roster Moves
The red-hot New Jersey Devils have made some changes to their roster, as Alexander Holtz and Kevin Kahl have both been sent down to the American Hockey League (AHL).
Holtz has played in four games with the Devils this season, where he has a goal and a minus-2 rating. Due to the Devils' strong forward depth, the 20-year-old has had trouble getting into the lineup, so it is probably best for him to head back to the AHL. In 52 games last season with the Utica Comets, the 2020 seventh-overall pick scored 26 goals and recorded 51 points.
Bahl, on the other hand, has suited up in three games for the Devils this season. During them, he did not record a point and sported an even rating. Like Holtz, it makes sense for the 22-year-old defenseman to receive more playing time in the AHL instead of sitting in the press box.
