NHL Rumors: Arizona Coyotes to Shop Forward
The Arizona Coyotes are set to be sellers at the deadline. Players like Jakob Chychrun and Shayne Gostisbehere have been talked about often in the rumor mill, but another under-the-radar Coyote who we should start paying attention to is Nick Bjugstad.
Bjugstad quietly inked a one-year, $900,000 contract with Arizona during the offseason, and he has played well for them since. In 19 games on the year thus far, the 30-year-old center has four goals, four assists, and a plus-4 rating. Overall, he has been a solid addition to the Coyotes but given his pending UFA status, he is likely to be on the move.
Bjugstad could be a very solid addition for a playoff team looking to add to their bottom six. The 6-foot-6 center offers decent secondary scoring, strong defensive play, and some grit when utilized, so let's see where the 2010 first-round pick gets traded from here.
