NHL Rumors: Florida Panthers Forward Becoming Trade Candidate
According to Frank Seravalli, the Florida Panthers might end up trading Anthony Duclair once he is healthy in order to become cap compliant.
Duclair is currently recovering from Achilles surgery and is expected to return to game action around Christmas. However, due to Florida being over the cap once he is activated, they will surely need to make a trade. With Duclair carrying a $3 million cap hit, he does stand out as a possible trade candidate.
Trading Duclair would certainly sting, as the 27-year-old winger is coming off of a season that saw him score 31 goals and record 58 points in 74 games. Yet, it may be a necessary evil to move him. Alas, let's see if he ends up being the Panthers' cap casualty from here.
