NHL Rumors: New Jersey Devils Linked to Montreal Canadiens Winger

The New Jersey Devils have been one of the NHL's biggest surprises this season. After putting together a dominant 13-game winning streak, they have shown the league that they are ready to be a playoff team again. As a result, they are expected to be big buyers at this year's deadline and already have their sights on a potential big move. According to Tony Marinaro, the Devils want to acquire Montreal Canadiens winger Josh Anderson "badly."

With the Canadiens rebuilding, Anderson is one of the many names on their roster that have been talked about often in the rumor mill. The Devils could certainly use a legitimate power forward in their top nine come playoff time, so it makes sense that they are very interested in the 6-foot-3 winger.

In 18 games this season, Anderson has five goals, seven points, and 35 hits. His offensive totals may be low for his standards, but fans know exactly what he's capable of while playing at his best. Let's see if the Devils can acquire him from the Canadiens from here.
