NHL Rumors: San Jose Sharks Defenseman Garnering Trade Interest
With the San Jose Sharks ready to blow up their roster, we should see several of their notable players traded as the season progresses. One defenseman who is starting to pick up attention because of this is Mario Ferraro.
Ferraro has quietly emerged as a legitimate top-four defenseman in this league. The 24-year-old, left-shot d-man has been praised for his reliable defensive work and strong physicality, so he will surely build a sizeable market if the Sharks shop him aggressively. He is a player built for the playoffs, so expect contenders to make a move for him.
Ferraro could also interest rebuilding teams/teams on the rise because he carries a $3.25 million cap hit until the end of the 2025-26 season. Therefore, he would be more than a rental, which only heightens his value to teams all around the league.
Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see where Ferraro ends up from here.
