NHL Rumors: San Jose Sharks to Shop Defenseman

It has already been established that the San Jose Sharks are open for business. Players like Erik Karlsson, Timo Meier, James Reimer, and Mario Ferraro have been flooding the rumor mill, but another player who we should be keeping an eye on is Jaycob Megna.

Although the Sharks have been immensely disappointing this season, Megna has been a pleasant surprise thus far. After putting together an eight-point campaign in 44 games last season for the Sharks, he already has six assists in 18 games this season. His improvement in play has resulted in him receiving top-pairing minutes and that naturally is leading to more trade interest surrounding him.

If Megna continues to have this solid of a season moving forward, he could land the Sharks a decent return. We will have to wait and see what happens with the 6-foot-6 defensive defenseman from here.
