NHL Rumors: Toronto Maple Leafs & Arizona Coyotes Talking Trade

While speaking on his most recent 32 Thoughts podcast, Elliotte Friedman noted that the Toronto Maple Leafs are pursuing Arizona Coyotes defenseman Conor Timmins.

We recently reported that the Coyotes are likely to start listening to offers for Timmins, and it does make sense for Toronto to make a push for him. The Leafs are dealing with multiple injuries to their blue line, and that's already a weak part of their lineup when fully healthy. Therefore, adding a player with good upside like Timmins could certainly end up benefitting them. With that, he also has chemistry with Leafs defenseman Ramus Sandin, as the two played on a pairing together with the Soo Greyhounds.

We will have to wait and see if these trade talks lead to a finalized deal. If so, Timmins could be a decent addition to Toronto. In 41 career games, he has seven assists and an even rating.
