NHL Rumors: Washington Capitals Defenseman Likely on the Move

According to Frank Seravalli, Washington Capitals defenseman Nick Jensen is among the league's top trade candidates at the deadline.

This is not surprising to hear at all, as the Capitals are rapidly falling out of the playoff picture and appear to be destined to become sellers. As a result, they will surely be listening to offers for the pending UFA. It also does not hurt that he has been a rare bright spot for them this campaign, as he has one goal and 10 points in 20 games on the year. If he keeps this kind of scoring pace up, the Capitals could very well land a second-round pick for him.

Alas, we will have to wait and see what happens with Jensen from here. It's clear that he would be an excellent addition for a contender who needs to strengthen their right side before the playoffs begin.
