Oilers Evander Kane Out Months Following Wrist Surgery
The Edmonton Oilers will be without forward Evander Kane for roughly 3-4 months following one of the scariest incidents in NHL history on Tuesday. Kane fell to the ice and had his wrist stepped on by Tampa Bay Lightning forward Patrick Maroon, resulting in serious cut and immediate worry.
Kane was rushed to a local hospital where he had surgery and is expected to make a full recovery. The Oilers recalled Mattias Janmark and Klim Kostin and now have roughly $4.8 million in available cap space while Kane is sidelined.

The Oilers forward was enjoying a strong start to the 2022-23 season and surely will be missed. Kane had recorded five goals and 13 points in 14 games to this point.
