Ottawa Senators Defenseman Out Long-Term

The Ottawa Senators have had a rough start to their 2022-23 season, and now they have been handed even more bad news. Jacob Bernard-Docker will be out for at least a month due to a high ankle sprain.

This is brutal news for Bernard-Docker, as he was recently called up to the Senators' NHL roster. The 2018 first-round pick has played in six games on the year, where he had an assist and a plus-1 rating. The Banff native was making a case for himself to become a regular in the Senators' lineup, but now any chance of that happening will be put on pause.

The Senators also provided an update on star defenseman Thomas Chabot. The 2015 first-round pick is now day-to-day with his concussion.
