Philadelphia Flyers Make Roster Moves
The Philadelphia Flyers have made changes to their roster, as Egor Zamula has been sent down to the AHL, while Tanner Laczynski has been called up back to the NHL squad.
Zamula's demotion is not all that surprising, as the 22-year-old defenseman has been a healthy scratch for several games in a row and has not played since Nov. 5. As a result, it makes sense for him to get more reps with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms but especially when noting that he is one of their top prospect defensemen. In nine games this season with Philadelphia, the 6-foot-6 d-man has two assists.
Laczynski, on the other hand, was recently demoted to the AHL, but he is now getting another chance with the Flyers. In 12 games this season with Philadelphia, he has two assists and a minus-1 rating. Let's see if he can get on the scoresheet more often during this call-up from here.
