St. Louis Blues Call Up Top Prospect
The St. Louis Blues have called 2020 first-round pick Jake Neighbors back up to the NHL roster. In response to the move, Nikita Alexandrov has been sent down to the Springfield Thunderbirds.
Neighbours has played in 11 games this season with the Blues, where he has one goal and a minus-9 rating. Overall, it is fair to say that the top prospect has struggled when called upon, but that is understandable when noting that he is still just 20 years old. Yet, now he will be aiming to make a bigger impact during this latest call-up. In seven games with the Thunderbirds this season, he has five assists.
Alexandrov, on the other hand, has played in his first nine NHL games this season, recording an assist and a plus-1 rating. The 22-year-old center will now be hoping to put up some big numbers with the Thunderbirds, as it could be exactly what lands him another call-up shortly.
