Toronto Maple Leafs Goalie Leaves Game Injured
The Toronto Maple Leafs got a big win against the Boston Bruins on Saturday night, but it, unfortunately, came with a cost. Ilya Samsonov left the game early with a knee injury.
This is very troubling news for a Maple Leafs team who is already dealing with an injury to fellow netminder Matt Murray. At this juncture, an update on Samsonov has not been provided, so the Leafs will be hoping that it is simply a short-term ailment and that he will not have to miss any time.
Samsonov has been very good for the Leafs this season, too. In eight appearances for the Original Six club thus far, he sports a 6-2-0 record, 2.23 GAA, and .921 SV%.
