Toronto Maple Leafs Goalie Out Weeks
The Toronto Maple Leafs can't keep goaltenders healthy this season as another netminder has hit the IR. Ilya Samsonov will be out 'weeks' according to head coach Sheldon Keefe, after Samsonov was hurt during a Brad Marchand penalty shot against the Boston Bruins.
The Russian netminder has been a pleasant surprise for the Maple Leafs to this point of the season after game one starter Matt Murray was injured on opening night. Samsonov, 25, has posted a 2.23 goals against average and a .921 save percentage in eight appearances.
The Maple Leafs will welcome back Murray to practice this week and it can't come soon enough. The team has been dressing Erik Kallgren as their starter and Keith Petruzzelli as the backup the past couple of games.

We should get an update on Ilya Samsonov at some point today. The good news is it appears he was doing some work on the ice this morning with goalie coach Curtis Sandford, which is certainly a good sign. pic.twitter.com/jANAuvN9NE
