Vancouver Canucks Make Roster Moves
After leaving Wednesday's game early with an injury, Tanner Pearson has now been placed on injured reserve by the Vancouver Canucks. In a corresponding move, Sheldon Dries has been called up to the NHL roster.
This is just another rough moment in what has been a disappointing start to the season for Pearson. In 14 games on the year thus far, he has a goal, five points, and a minus-9 rating. This is far below expectations, and now the 30-year-old will be out for at least a week due to this IR placement. Obviously, this is not going to help him rebound any faster.
Dries, on the other hand, will be hoping to impress during this latest call-up. The 28-year-old forward has played in four games with Vancouver this season, where he has an assist and a minus-2 rating. With their AHL affiliate, the Abbotsford Canucks, he has four points in two games.
