Video: Dallas Stars Goalie Stretchered Off vs. Florida Panthers
Scary scene in Florida on Thursday night as Dallas Stars netminder Scott Wedgewood was stretchered off the ice during the second period.
The 30-year-old netminder suffered an injury as he was reaching back, extending himself to make an amazing couple of saves on an Anton Lundell breakaway. After the play, Wedgewood felt something wrong in his back and his night was history.
The Stars commented after the game that Wedgewood was doing ok and the goalie was heading back to Dallas to be re-examined by team doctors. The team found a way to hold win, beating the Panthers 6-4, and winning one for Wedgewood. Here's the play, as we hope the Stars goalie makes a quick recovery:
