Video: Wild's Kirill Kaprizov Kicked Out for Vicious Cross-Check
Minnesota Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov will be hearing from the league after the star winger received a match penalty for cross-checking Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty in the face.
The two engaged and Kaprizov decided he'd use his stick as a weapon and caught Doughty in the head. Doughty did stay in the game and wasn't injured on the play and was well enough to wave goodbye to Kaprizov after the incident.
Kaprizov's match penalty will be reviewed by the NHL's department of player safety. The only good thing here is the fact it's his first offense and they'll likely take it easy on him.
