Washington Capitals Make Change to Roster

The Washington Capitals have sent down Connor McMichael to the Hershey Bears.

McMichael being sent down to the AHL is not too surprising. The 21-year-old is waiver exempt and has only appeared in six games for the Capitals, where he has zero points. Instead of having him be a healthy scratch more often than not at the NHL level, McMichael is now ready to rejoin the Bears. Down in Hershey, he will be hoping to put up some big numbers, as it could be what helps him receive another chance in the near future.

McMichael is viewed as one of the Capitals' top young players. The Ajax native recorded 27 points in 33 games in 2020-21 with the Bears, so they will surely be happy to have him back around.
