Winnipeg Jets Forward Out Several Weeks
The Winnipeg Jets have announced that Mason Appleton has had wrist surgery and will be out for the next eight to 12 weeks because of it.
Appleton left Sunday's game against the Seattle Kraken due to suffering an injury, and now we have more clarification as to what has happened. Unfortunately, this is bad news for both the player and team. Now, the Jets will have to adjust without the 26-year-old in their lineup.
Overall, Appleton has had a decent season for the Jets. In 14 games thus far, he has a goal to go along with five assists. With that, he has been active physically, which his 26 hits show effectively.
Alas, here's to hoping that Appleton can have a speedy recovery and that the Jets handle things finely without him in the lineup.
