2 New York Islanders Placed on IR

The New York Islanders have placed Oliver Wahlstrom and Simon Holmstrom on injured reserve.

Wahlstrom is currently being deemed as out indefinitely, so this is a notable blow for the Islanders. The young winger has been off to a solid start in 2022-23, as he has seven goals and 16 points in 35 games on the year. Unfortunately, now his year has to be put on pause.

Holmstrom is also dealing with a lower-body injury, but he is currently listed as day-to-day. In 14 games this season, he has one goal and one assist.
