Blue Jackets Lineup Receives Huge Boost Ahead of Jets Matchup
The Columbus Blue Jackets will welcome back sniper Patrik Laine to the lineup on Friday night against the Winnipeg Jets. Laine has been out for multiple weeks nursing an ankle injury.
Laine's return couldn't come soon enough as the Blue Jackets continue to struggle scoring goals this season. The team has recorded a 7-12-2 record on the season, posting only 60 goals to this point.
Laine has appeared in only eight games to this point in 2022-23, recording two goals and two assists. He's expected to see more action with linemates Johnny Gaudreau and Boone Jenner in hopes of sparking some offense for the Blue Jackets.
The 24-year-old Laine has dealt with injury issues throughout his career and hasn't played a full 82-game season since 2018-19 as a member of the Jets.
