Buffalo Sabres & Dallas Stars Complete Trade
The Dallas Stars and Buffalo Sabres have completed a one-for-one swap as the Stars have acquired defenseman Oskari Laaksonen from the Sabres in exchange for defenseman Joseph Cecconi.
The Stars announced Laaksonen will be assigned to the American Hockey League to continue his development. The 23-year-old has appeared in 10 games so far this AHL season for the Rochester Americans and has recorded two points and a plus +1 rating. Laaksonen was originally a third-round pick (89th overall) back at the 2017 NHL Draft.

Last season Laaksonen enjoyed a solid campaign, ranking second on the team in points by a blueliner with 34 in 71 games. He was a member of the gold medal winning Team Finland at the 2019 World Junior Championship.
Cecconi on the other hand has two points in 12 AHL games this season. Originally a fifth-round pick (133rd overall) back at the 2015 NHL Draft, Cecconi has appeared in 176 career AHL games and has registered 33 points.
