Buffalo Sabres Defenseman Placed on Waivers

The Buffalo Sabres have placed Lawrence Pilut on waivers.

After spending the last two seasons in the KHL, Pilut returned to the Sabres for the 2022-23 campaign. In 17 games with Buffalo on the year, he has one goal to go along with two assists. Overall, he has not taken the world by storm when called upon, but he has served as a decent depth defenseman. When noting that he carries a $750,000 cap hit, it seems possible that another team could be willing to bring him in on a waiver claim.

Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see what happens with Pilut from here.
