Canucks Rumors: Vancouver Only Has One Untouchable Player

The Vancouver Canucks are open for business and are expected to be one of the busiest teams prior to the March 3 trade deadline. From the sounds of it, expect some huge deals out of the Canucks as most of their core players are available for the right price.

How many you ask? According to multiple reports, the Canucks only consider Elias Pettersson untouchable and everyone else on their roster can be acquired for a cost, including goaltender Thatcher Demko, defenseman Quinn Hughes and newly signed forward J.T Miller.

Brock Boeser's agent continues to work the phones around the league trying to facilitate a trade for his client. So far it sounds like the Montreal Canadiens, Pittsburgh Penguins, and New York Islanders have a tremendous amount of interest.

Then there's captain Bo Horvat who recently released a statement mentioning he will no longer be commenting on trade rumors and wants to concentrate on his game for the time being. Horvat will be traded prior to the deadline and it's not expected to come down to the wire. The Canucks management have informed other teams, when the right deal lands on their desk, they will move Horvat and aren't going to wait until the trade deadline just because. Vancouver is looking for a young center and a right-handed defenseman in return for Horvat. The Colorado Avalanche are the heavy favorites at this point in the sweepstakes.

The Canucks are making moves with salary cap flexibility and getting younger on their minds. Needless to say, the organization is lost and could be crumbling in the very near future if they don't get these trades right.
