Canucks/Canadiens Game Scouted Heavily
The Vancouver Canucks hosted the Montreal Canadiens on Monday night, and the scouts were out in full force.
Don’t know how much (if anything) it has to do with Brock Boeser, but there are as many NHL scouts at Rogers Arena tonight as I’ve seen all season. I counted 11 teams represented.

The Canucks and Canadiens have a number of players who are available via trade but make no mistake about it, this was a Brock Boeser watch party. The Canucks forward has been all over the trade rumors of late after the team had planned to sit Boeser last weekend, but ended up playing him due to a last minute injury.
Boeser's agent has been given permission to speak to other teams regarding a trade and it's likely we see something materialize before the Christmas break. The 25-year-old Boeser is signed through the 2024-25 season, making $6.65 million per season and he doesn't hold any trade protection. The fact management has allowed Boeser's agent to contact teams is showing their willingness to get something done. Boeser has recorded 16 points in 20 games this season.
Here's what the scouts saw Monday night at the Boeser watch party:
