Colorado Avalanche Call Up Defenseman
The Colorado Avalanche have called up Andreas Englund to their NHL roster.
Englund's call-up is in response to Josh Manson leaving Thursday's contest early with an injury. As a result, Colorado needed to call up another defenseman for insurance, and Englund is the player that they opted to go with.
After not playing in the NHL since the 2019-20 season with the Ottawa Senators, Englund has appeared in four games this campaign thus far with the Avalanche. During them, he has one assist to go along with 14 hits. Overall, he has done a decent job as a shutdown, bottom-pairing defenseman when called upon, so let's see how he performs during this latest call-up from here.
