Colorado Avalanche Dealt Brutal Injury News
The Colorado Avalanche will be without superstar Nathan MacKinnon for approximately four weeks as the Avs forward hits the shelve with an upper-body injury.
The injury occurred during Monday's contest against the Philadelphia Flyers where MacKinnon came up lame in the first period after trying to take a shot. He then was hit multiple times by Flyers forward Scott Laughton on the way to the bench.
MacKinnon adds his name to a long list of Avalanche players who are unavailable for the team including Gabriel Landeskog, Valeri Nichushkin, Evan Rodrigues, Artturi Lehkonen, Josh Manson and Bowen Byram.
