Colorado Avalanche Place 2 Forwards On Waivers
The Colorado Avalanche have placed Alex Galchenyuk and Jayson Megna on waivers.
Galchenyuk recently inked an NHL deal with the Avalanche after starting the season with the Colorado Eagles. During his three-game call-up with the Avalanche, the 2012 third-overall pick was fairly quiet, as he had zero points and a minus-3 rating. Given his past success, a team dealing with injury trouble could decide to give the 28-year-old a chance. If not, he will be heading back to the Eagles.
Megna, on the other hand, has zero points in 13 games with the Avalanche this season. If he clears waivers, he will once again be a key contributor for the Eagles. In nine games this season with the AHL squad, he has six points.
