Columbus Blue Jackets Forward Leaves Game Injured
The injury bug just will not stop bothering the Columbus Blue Jackets. Just hours after announcing that captain Boone Jenner will miss time due to surgery, Yegor Chinakhov left Monday's game early with a lower-body injury.
Chinakhov has been off to a solid start this season, so the Blue Jackets are hoping that he will not have to miss any significant time. In 30 games on the year, the 2020 first-round pick has four goals to go along with 13 points. This increase in production is quite impressive, as he had just 14 points in 62 games as a rookie last season.
Alas, we will have to wait and see what happens with Chinakhov from here. Hopefully, this injury is nothing too serious.
