Columbus Blue Jackets Sign Forward to NHL Contract
The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed Justin Richards to an NHL contract for the remainder of the season.
Richards was under an AHL deal with the Cleveland Monsters, but his strong play this season has resulted in Columbus changing his contract to an NHL one. In 23 games this season with the AHL squad, he has six goals to go along with 17 points. Overall, it has been a solid year for him, and now he has the chance to be called up with this latest development.
Nevertheless, it will be intriguing to see what happens with Richards from here. In one career NHL game, he has one assist and a plus-1 rating.
