Columbus Blue Jackets Top Prospect Loaned to World Juniors

The Columbus Blue Jackets have loaned David Jiricek to Team Czechia for World Juniors.

Jiricek will provide Czechia with a major boost, as he is one of the top prospects in the sport. The 19-year-old defenseman was selected sixth overall by Columbus during this past summer's entry draft. So far, he has played in two games for the Jackets, where he has zero points and a minus-4 rating. With the Cleveland Monsters, he has been excellent, as his four goals and 16 points in 17 games show effectively.
