Edmonton Oilers Sign Goalie to Extension

The Edmonton Oilers have signed Stuart Skinner to a three-year, $7.8 million contract. 

Skinner has been the team's best goaltender this season, so it makes sense that they now have inked him to this nice deal. In 19 appearances on the year, he sports a 9-8-1 record, .915 SV%, and 2.83 GAA. With stats like these, it is clear that he is a legitimate NHL goaltender, and he's getting paid like one now. 

With Jack Campbell struggling immensely, getting Skinner signed for multiple years was a no-brainer for management. We will have to wait and see how he responds after landing this solid contract from here.
