Florida Panthers Forward Placed on LTIR
According to NHL insider Frank Seravalli, Florida Panthers forward Patric Hornqvist has been placed on LTIR. As a result, he will be out for at least 10 games or a total of 24 days.
Sounds like #FlaPanthers Patric Hornqvist is going to miss some time. Told he's been placed on LTIR, meaning minimum of 10 games or 24 days.

So hold those tickets just yet on a potential trade for cap compliance once Anthony Duclair is healthy and ready to return.
With Hornqvist being placed on LTIR, his $5.3 million cap hit will be off the books until he is activated again. This, in turn, means that the Panthers will now not be forced to trade a player to activate Anthony Duclair. Essentially, Hornqvist being put on LTIR means that the Panthers now have more time before they will be forced to make a trade.
Hornqvist has had quite a down year for the Panthers this season, and the truth is in his stats. In 22 games, the 35-year-old winger has just one goal and two assists. Once he is healthy, he will be hoping to heat up again and produce decent offense in the bottom six. He is coming off of a decent 28-point campaign in 65 games, after all.
