Florida Panthers Star Leaves Game Early With Injury
During Saturday's win against the New Jersey Devils, Florida Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov left the game early due to a lower-body injury.
This is certainly not ideal news for a Panthers team that is trying to get things back on track. At the time of this writing, they have a 15-13-4 record and are behind division rivals like the Boston Bruins, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Toronto Maple Leafs. If Barkov has to miss more time, that certainly is not going to help their chances of catching them.
In 25 games this season, Barkov has six goals to go along with 22 points. Replacing that kind of production and his elite defensive play would be impossible for the Cats, so here's to hoping that the 27-year-old does not have to miss any time from here.
