Montreal Canadiens Forward Placed on IR

The Montreal Canadiens have placed Mike Hoffman on injured reserve. In a corresponding move, Rem Pitlick has been called back up to the NHL roster.

Hoffman has been out of action for over a week due to a lower-body injury, so this IR placement is not all too surprising. The Canadiens will be hoping that the 33-year-old winger will be able to return to the lineup soon, as he has a notable part of their forward group. However, he is also off to a somewhat slow start in 2022-23, as he has eight points in 16 games. 

Pitlick, on the other hand, will be hoping to make a big impact in his return to the NHL squad. After recording 26 points in 46 games with Montreal last season, he has zero points with the Habs this campaign. Let's see if he can change that from here and earn himself a permanent spot on their roster again because of it.
