New York Islanders Forward Suffers Head Injury

New York Islanders forward Oliver Wahlstrom is currently dealing with a head injury, according to Andrew Gross.

Wahlstrom suffered his injury against the Pittsburgh Penguins, and now it seems likely that he is set to miss some time because of it. This is not ideal for the Islanders, as they are currently trying to catch up to their Metropolitan Division rivals, and Wahlstrom has been having a solid start to the year. In 35 games, he has seven goals to go along with 16 points.

With this being a head injury, Wahlstrom cannot be rushed back under any circumstances. Here's to hoping that the 22-year-old has a speedy recovery.
